Unfortunately, we’ve had a string of cloudy days here in Brooklyn, NY. If the sun does manage to make an appearance, it’s often behind these hazy, mist-like clouds, which is simply becoming tiring.
We need the sun; it is our life force. The sun gives us energy, it brightens our days, and it provides us with vitamin D, an important hormone* that we need to support our brain function, hormonal balances, musculoskeletal system, and more. [*studies show that vitamin D functions more like a hormone].
For many of us who live in colder climates, it can be harder to get adequate access to the sun, and thus, we have less vitamin D, so it’s important to find some good Vitamin D supplements to incorporate into your daily routine. A deficiency in this important hormone can lead to a plethora of illnesses. And in 2022, we need to be very intentional about cultivating health and wellness in our lives!
As I finish this draft about the sun, it must’ve heard my pleas to come out, as we finally have a clear day today! So I’m going to head out and enjoy some of the rays on my face even though it’s 27 degrees F lol.
