Transformation & Tears This Scorpio Season

Scorpio season is steeped in all things deep and otherworldly. Has this transformative time stirred anything within your soul?

Halloween, Dia de Los Muertos, All Souls’ Day, and Diwali fall within this zodiac, when the veil between our physical world and the spiritual world is at its thinnest. We think about our connections to the spirit world, death, and the unknown. In general, it’s also a time where things that were once hidden become more apparent and visible to us.

This Scorpio season feels a bit more intense for me (like everything in 2021, let’s be honest!). Though I’ve certainly embraced the fun and spooky side of things like watching Halloweentown and Hocus Pocus replays (some things I’m super sentimental about…), I’ve been forced to dig deeper into the real spookiness of life, and of myself.

Yes, it’s Time to Confront Yourself.

As you grow and take on more responsibility for your decisions and lifestyle, there’s real accountability that comes with increased awareness (makes you think that sometimes, ignorance really is bliss!).

Traditionally ruled by Mars and now also Pluto, Scorpio can be difficult to pin down because of its drive to accomplish (Mars) while also being comfortable in the shadows, the underbelly (Pluto). This is the sign that wants us to confront ourselves and the things that don’t sit well with us. Our triggers… our fears … our insecurities.

Pluto is where things go to die, to transform. It houses the depths, sorrow, and secrets. Scorpio wants you to look at it! Confront your own shadows and see yourself for who you are behind the mask. It wants you to squirm at your own discomfort and to open the closet to your own monsters. And let me tell you, this shit is uncomfortableee, and it HURTS 😦

Tears will be shed. But they must.

Look Your Fears in the Eyes.

Scorpio reminds you about the monsters in your closet. YOUR monsters, actually. And let’s be real, life isn’t all sunshine and roses. There’s plenty of muck that we keep hidden from the public .. from friends, families, and most likely, even ourselves. Sometimes, a dark thought, a raw moment, a brutal truth, can hit you out of nowhere. Or maybe a loved one tells you some uncomfortable truths about yourself (that you acknowledge being true). What do you do with that?

Like the artist, Scorpio wants you to turn that pain, darkness, and negativity into art, into your own personal masterpieces.

What discomfort are you sitting with? If you were to just reflect and be real with yourself, what would you put work in, to transform?
