Choose to Actively Expand

I have thoughts that don’t necessarily fit into one cohesive theme for a post so I’m trying something different and lumping the thoughts into categories. These are thoughts that have been sitting with me for some time. Perhaps some of it will resonate with you.

Enjoy!

We keep getting fed more, for less.

More AI. More data mining from people and consumers. More ads. More screens. It’s just so much and none of it is inherently for our benefit. It is all to increase someone else’s bottom line—to boost profits and maximize efficiency, truly using humans as energy outputs until it is no longer beneficial, and then a machine takes their place. We have to get back in touch with what makes our humanity so special: our empathy, our connection to source, divine inspiration, creativity, thoughtfulness—our ability to meaningfully connect with others. And of course, we must get in touch with our ability to discern, our inner wisdom. The connection with your own inner compass will be necessary for the times ahead.

What happens when innovation isn’t beneficial to mankind?

There are places where our human spirit dies.

Comfort zones and complacency. Human beings love being in situations that feel familiar, that feel comfortable. We are literally creatures of comfort. It’s why change is scary because—we don’t know what we don’t know, and we love the idea of safety. Of security.

But how would we enjoy advancements of humanity and civilization without change?  Without growth and evolution? As humans, we are ever-expanding. We can learn so much, we can grow, and we can consciously make decisions that improve our lives and the lives of those around us. We influence.

Learning to actively expand.

Conversely, If we are too stiff, too set in our ways, and too unwilling to change, the universe will set things in motion to shake us up a little. It feels like the world is being shaken up. Many of us are experiencing similar feelings, though we may be living on different timelines. I know that I,  myself, am feeling some discomfort in my life—discomfort in the sense of knowing there is so much expansiveness in this realm and wanting to continue experiencing it.

I am seeking ways to experience the bigness of life. In reality, what does that really mean? And where do I start? I suppose I have to start somewhere, based on my perception of it all.

I’m still figuring it out for myself.
