It’s September, and we’ve entered Virgo season—a time ruled by Mercury and connected to the 6th house of the zodiac. Agriculturally, Virgo season represents the harvest, a period where we enjoy the fruits of our labor (also an interesting connection that Labor Day is during Virgo season).
However, just as there’s work involved in growing and tending to crops, there’s also effort required in the harvest itself. Collecting all of the bounty is no small feat. This energy output reflects Virgo’s energy—focused on work, ensuring things run smoothly, and reaping the benefits of careful planning and effort.

Virgo’s influence extends to practical matters, analytics, and organization. It brings a sense of responsibility, reminding us that tending to our health is essential for cultivating abundance. The 6th house, which governs health, routine, and service, makes this an ideal time to get our lives in order.
As the season shifts, with kids back in school and summer break behind us, September feels like the perfect time to grab a planner and prepare for the remainder of the year.
If you indulged a bit over the summer, Virgo encourages us to rein things in and fortify ourselves.
- How are your routines holding up?
- What commitments can you make to yourself?
- Are there healthier lifestyle choices you could be making?
- When was the last time you visited the doctor?
It’s important to reconnect our mind, body, and soul during this time. I encourage you to start small—perhaps by adding an herbal tea, a new fruit, or a vegetable to your daily routine.
➡️ Since Virgo is ruled by Mercury, here’s a suggested post if you’re looking for herbs to work with: Use Mercury-Ruled Herbs to Support Your Mind and Nervous System
Fruits in season: pomegranate, tomatoes (also considered a vegetable), apples, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, figs.
